Dear Reader:
I am writing to tell you about how valuable our firm has found Pattyn Computer Services to be,
particularly in their promptness fielding our questions and helping with problems, when and if they arise.
I say "when and if" because we do not often find ourselves with computer issues, largley because Greg Pattyn really
analyzed our situation, and addressed concerns to our satisfaciton, generally before any problems arise.
We are a small Pittsburgh law firm and our computers are VERY IMPORTANT to us. Let me suggest that a frozen data base
(where we keep vital client information) does not allow us to respond to inquiries of any sort, and we do not want to find ourselves
in that situation. Not only did Greg and Pattyn Computer Services design the system we
use to keep track of clients, they "trouble shoot," immediately by phone if necessary, to
address any problems. I have to admit, it has been so long since I have had a problem
that I did not create myself, I almost forget what it means to have "computer issues."
Additionally, it is important for you to understand how Pattyn views service to its
customers. I would have to say that we never have to wait for a service call, unless Greg
is servicing another client at that moment. In that event, he calls or e-mails immediately
and lets us know when to expect him. We do not have to wait days for the answers to our
problems; if it is not something that we can address over the phone, Greg is here to talk
with us, view the problem, and find the answer. We are not left "in the lurch" for hours
or days because he cannot "get to it." We have never heard that response. I have heard
funny commercials about IT folks who never respond. We never have that experience.
Please understand that we are a fairly demanding crowd at this office. This
unsolicited letter would not be written if we did not believe everything contained in it.
We have no patience for a service economy that does not serve. We are not interested in
someone who talks down to us about computers. We do not have the experience with Pattyn
that they talk over us or try to sell us things or get us to do things because they
have a feeling we do not understand. They patiently explain their recommendations, and
provide support and documentation before, during and after the process.
In this day and age, computers are something most of us cannot live without.
